We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on high-profile data centre construction projects across London. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in delivering cost-effective and high-quality construction solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities-
Cost Management:
- Assist in preparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets.
- Perform cost analysis and provide cost-saving strategies.

Procurement Support:
- Assist in tender preparation and the procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

Contract Administration:
- Support the preparation of contracts and manage variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of valuations, payments, and project costs.

Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure financial risks are minimized.

Reporting:
- Assist in preparing detailed financial and progress reports for internal and client stakeholders.
- Provide input for cash flow forecasts and budget reviews.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in quantity surveying or a similar role, preferably within data centre, MEP, or large-scale construction projects.
- Working knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
