Spencer & James Recruitment are seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor, with experience working on Responsive Repairs and Voids works projects within the social housing sector.
As an A. Quantity Surveyor, within this team you will manage the project commercial aspects, oversee a Commercial Assistant, preparing monthly CVR's / VCR's, submit client applications, and handle commercial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the M&V process to assist in generating monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
- Expand your understanding of commercial approaches for smaller subcontractor packages and site preliminaries.
- Frequently carry out site safety inspections.
- Consistently take on-site measurements and perform take-offs.
- Keep accurate site logs to aid in assessing material costs, plant expenses, COI, day works, and any changes to drawings or specifications.
- Continuously update PDRs A&B and complete required training documentation.
- Develop and regularly evaluate personal action plans for project tasks and individual goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- You will ideally have 3+ years experience at a Main Contractor working on Void or Responsive projects
- A strong understanding of NHF SOR's
