This company is a specialist client-side development management company, their services include
Development Management, Project management and Quantity surveying mostly in the super-prime central London sector.
This position would suit a Quantity Surveyor looking for exposure to the client-side, taking jobs from cradle to grave.
Ideally the Quantity Surveyor would have experience on super-prime residential or listed buildings, but most importantly have 2-3 yrs post-qualification and a good attitude to work, learning and progressing. If someone has the right attitude, we can teach them the skills.
Generally, the company has around 15 projects on the go at any one time, made up of live sites, and those in the planning process, and the role is varied offering full exposure to the client side.
The Quantity Surveyor will be involved with both design, project management and surveying:
Acquisition advice | Developing a Project Brief | Selecting project team | planning approval process | Liaison with financial institutions for funding arrangements & third-party stakeholders.
Managing the design process and design team | Arranging site surveys | Appointment of a Main Contractor | Administering the Main Contract as Contract Administrator or Employers Agent | Assessing and Resolving Contractor Claims | Programme and Schedule Management | Managing handover to an end user / operator
This position could also be referred to as Quantity Surveyor, QS, Commercial Manager, Financial Manager or Cost Manager
