We are currently working with a leading main contractor to assist in the appointment of a Graduate Quantity Surveyor.� This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and begin your career working for an established company in some landmark locations in Central London.

Each year our client commits to taking on Graduate Quantity Surveyors in order to strengthen and develop their commercial teams.� The business has a proven development programme that empowers Graduates and provides them with everything they need to become a Commercial Manager. The company have an unrivalled track record in training and developing Quantity Surveyors, supporting them through RICS accreditation and beyond.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have been awarded an upper second class or first class honours degree (BSc or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying and/or Commercial Management.

Experience you will gain includes but is not limited to the following:

Exposure to both head office and site based activities working as part of the commercial team.

Develop a clear understanding of Commercial Controls and all forms of contracts

Financial cost control and reporting of current contracts

Improving financial return of current contracts

Purchasing and negotiating sub contract orders

Paying and monitoring subcontractor progress

Cost reporting and forecasting

Client liaison and value forecasting

Active involvement with Bill of Quantities, Take-Offs, Valuations, Variations and Estimates

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and or Commercial Manager

Assist in the procurement of subcontractors
