Role: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Location: Central London

Remuneration: 50,000 Per Annum + Hybrid Working

We are searching on behalf of our client, an International Tier 1 contractor for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join as soon as possible. The contractor in question operates in the infrastructure sector for transportation and mobility with four divisions across, Highway, Airports, Construction and Mobility & Energy Infrastructure.

You will be working on a Major Rail Project in Central London, with the focus in this case being on the infrastructure side of the framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a Tier 1 contractor on one of the most important infrastructure projects currently ongoing in the UK.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage all aspects of the commercial function independently, potentially leading a small team.
  • Prepare and agree variation accounts, monitor costs, and track progress against plans.
  • Contribute to change control procedures and manage contractual issues.
  • Prepare valuations, final accounts, and handle subcontractor payments.
  • Provide expert contractual advice and ensure legal compliance.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A Quantity Surveying degree or similar qualification.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (CICES, RICS, etc.).
  • Proven experience delivering positive commercial outcomes on major projects.
  • Excellent communication.
  • A methodical and detail-oriented approach.
