Job Description: M&E Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

With a strong presence in Central London, they are currently involved in a major mixed-use residential design and build project valued at approximately £40 million in MEP. The project spans over two years, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a significant and complex development.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of a major project. Your expertise will be essential in managing costs, preparing tender documents, and overseeing subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Scope Management:
- Ensure that site supervisory staff fully understand the project's scope of works and the specific inclusions within tender packages.
- Tender Preparation:
- Prepare and assemble tender packages for M&E subcontract works.
- Compile all necessary documents required for the procurement of subcontractors.
- Contract Documentation:
- Prepare and manage contracts and documents for inclusion in tender packages, ensuring all legal and project requirements are met.
- Financial Management:
- Ensure a positive month-on-month cash flow position, meeting or exceeding forecasted project margins.
- Prepare accurate forecasts and regularly report on the financial status and cash flow of the project.
- Subcontract Administration:
- Administer subcontracts, including processing payments, managing claims, and submitting progress claims to the client.
- Client and Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally within large-scale residential or mixed-use projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, cost management, and project financial control.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry-standard contract forms and procurement processes.
