Our client, an Family Owned Multi-Disciplinary Main Contractor is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor, with a M&E Bias, to join their team on a permanent basis. They are looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors who have experience of managing costs on significant M&E projects.


The role will be focused on taking commercial ownership of significant M&E projects in Central London.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs related to Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) building projects. You will ensure projects stay within budget while meeting quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Prepare and monitor budgets, manage variations, and conduct value engineering.
  • Procurement: Tender, negotiate, and award M&E packages; prepare BOQs.
  • Contract Management: Administer contracts, manage interim payments, and resolve disputes.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Reporting: Provide cost reports and financial updates to management.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; professional membership (RICS/CIOB) preferred.
  • Experience: Strong M&E background and proven experience on large-scale projects.
  • Skills: Excellent commercial acumen, contract negotiation, and proficiency in cost management software.
