Role: Managing Quantity Surveyor - Water Proofing
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000

Are you a detail-oriented Managing Quantity Surveyor with experience in Commercial Roofing and Waterproofing projects? Spencer & James, in partnership with a well-established family-run multidisciplinary Main Contractor, are seeking a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor to contribute to large-scale waterproofing projects across London. What You’ll Be Doing
· Leading a team of Quantity surveyors
· Foster strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
· Collaborate with the pre-construction team on all commercial matters.
· Work closely with the Contracts Manager and Site Manager to address technical issues.
· Coordinate with Procurement and Compliance to ensure subcontractors meet company assessment standards.
· Review subcontractor accounts and prepare payment certificates in line with company terms and conditions.
· Issue timely withholding or payment notices for relevant applications or invoices.
· Prepare and issue valuations, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), in accordance with contract requirements.
· Develop cash flow projections for the business unit, incorporating all projects.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for somebody with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who has previous experience working with Tier 1 Contractors, and experience working within Waterproofing as a Quantity Surveyor.
Requirements:
· Degree in Quantity Surveying
·CIOB / RICS
· Previous experience Quantity Surveying for a Tier 1 Contractor
