Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor looking to lead a phase on a high profile development?


This is a unique opportunity to oversee the second phase of a scheme in East London, with a construction value exceeding 1 billion. You'll play a pivotal role in managing the financial and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring it's delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial management of the phase from inception through to completion, overseeing all phases of the development.
  • Work with contractors to ensure effective cost planning and management.
  • Oversee the procurement of key packages, from early works through to fit-out.
  • Manage budgeting, cost estimation, and financial forecasting to ensure project success and profitability.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of project costs, materials, and labor, providing accurate cost reports and forecasts.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and fostering strong working relationships.
  • Monitor the project's financial health, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to avoid cost overruns.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members.

What You Need:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a residential developer or contractor background.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and regulations, particularly in large-scale developments.
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools (Excel, project management systems, etc.).
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with a focus on cost control and project delivery.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a track record of managing teams.
