A leading bespoke Fit-out & Refurbishment Contractor with a turnover of £80 million is seeking a Managing Surveyor to join their team on a full-time basis,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage subcontract packages, appointments and material procurement
  • Direct and proficient negotiation of client contract sums
  • Manage Multiple Projects ranging above £10 million
  • Oversee measures and report variances to the board and client team.
  • Prepare valuations for interim applications and assessments.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for the client and their consultants.
  • Produce Bills of quantities for construction and fit out schemes UK and ROI.
  • Monitor costs to ensure budgets are met and attend regular finance meetings internally and externally.
  • Liaise closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to record all variations, change requests and instructions
  • Monitoring sub-contractor accounts, negotiations and referrals.
  • Preparation and submission of weekly financial reports to client and client QS.
  • Monthly cost/value reconciliation to the board.
  • Monitoring cash collection.
  • Finalising of project accounts with detailed analysis and insight into project performance.
  • Providing commercial support to the Estimating and manufacturing teams.
  • Monitoring compliance of projects and following company procedures while delivering best practice.
     

The ideal candidate will have proven track record of numerous projects within Fit-out &Refurbishment with clear levels of responsibility with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience. A strong lead would have a clear understanding of contractual obligations, breaches and remedies, competent knowledge of a range of procurement options available in the industry. Sound understanding of financial management procedures with excellent organisation and management skills.
