Are you a highly experienced Project/Senior Quantity Surveyor with a passion for fit-out and carpentry and a proven track record of successful claims management?We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented QS to lead the commercial success of a major £10m fit-out project in Zone 1 London. You will be working for a reputable, specialist fit out/carpentry subcontractor with a strong track record of delivering exceptional projects. This is your opportunity to:

  • Take the lead on a high-profile project: Manage all commercial aspects of the £10m contract, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Lead a dedicated team: Work closely with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and positive relationships.
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies: Drive value engineering, manage variations, and ensure accurate cost tracking.
  • Make strategic decisions: Identify and mitigate risks, negotiate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to a successful team: Collaborate with our team to deliver exceptional quality and maintain our reputation for excellence.
  • Champion claims management: Lead the development and submission of robust claims, including EOTs, variations, and cost increases, to secure the best possible outcomes for the project.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience as a Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the fit-out/carpentry sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-value contracts, including experience with complex claims management.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, risk management, contract law, and claims procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach.
