Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking to take your next step on a high-value residential development project?About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential development with a construction value of over £1 billion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the commercial team in managing costs throughout the lifecycle of the project, from early stages to completion.
  • Assist with the procurement process for packages, working closely with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts to ensure project profitability.
  • Carry out detailed cost analysis, assessing materials, labor, and other project-related expenses.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive pricing, ensuring value for money while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to avoid cost overruns.
  • Assist senior surveyors and managers in the preparation of reports, valuations, and change orders.
  • Contribute to the management and mentoring of junior team members, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.

What You Need:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, within the residential or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations, with particular emphasis on large-scale developments.
  • Experience using relevant software tools (Excel, project management systems, etc.).
  • Good attention to detail with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
