The Role:
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a new hotel development in Kensington. This high-profile project has a 3-year timeline and requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects, from cost estimation and budgeting to procurement and final accounts. You will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cost control for the project, including preparing valuations, payment applications, and cost reporting.
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating terms and ensuring value for money.
- Oversee contractual documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the project team to monitor progress and address any financial risks or opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background large in residential, hospitality, or commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management techniques.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
