Qualified QS/ Estimator | based within M25 | Full Time| £40,000 per year DOE

Established in 1997, our client is an East London-based, family-run business that has gone from strength to strength over the years.

The company specialise in predictive and reactive maintenance and boasts an extensive client base and portfolio. The business provides services covering all building disciplines, additionally offering a Property Management Service, Retrofit, Refurbishments and New Builds.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • You must be from a construction background
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, ideally in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and industry regulations
  • Proficient in cost estimation software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills

What will your role as a Qualified QS/ Estimator look like?

  • Review and work on multiple projects simultaneously e.g. refurbs, fit outs, MTC contracts, various sectors- schools, public buildings commercial and housing and leisure
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including labour, materials, and equipment
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies, analysing site conditions, construction plans, and specifications
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate project budgets and timelines
  • Procure and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
  • Review and analyse project documentation to identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions
  • Monitor project expenses, track cost variations, and provide timely reports to management
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess cost performance and identify areas for improvement
