Role/Responsibilities:
The company seeks a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the commercial aspects of their business from their Central London office.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall, ceilings, partitions, and other interior works.
- Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, ensuring costs are controlled and within the agreed budget.
- Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
- Manage project cash flow, ensuring timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and recovery of project costs.
- Produce regular cost reports for senior management, detailing current financial performance, potential risks, and projections for project completion.
- Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction is essential.
- Specific experience in drylining, ceilings, and partitions is required.
- A degree in construction or an HNC is preferred but not essential.
- Must have a flexible and positive attitude.
- Proficiency with computers and a willingness to develop in the role is necessary.
Salary & Benefits:
- Offering up to 60k, depending on experience and qualifications.
