Description
- Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Assessing and managing risk
- Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures
- Handling contractual correspondence
- Managing professional and trade staff and delegating responsibilities as necessary
- Monitoring project progress and keeping in contact with construction managers
- Ensuring material supplies are available on site
- Providing financial progress reports to senior managers
Profile
A successful Planned Works QS should have:
- An undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies
- Excellent mathematical and IT skills
- Proficiency in risk assessment
- Experience in preparing tender and contract documents
- Exceptional negotiation skills
