We are seeking a diligent and proficient Planned Works QS to join our construction department. The right candidate will be responsible for managing costs relating to construction projects, from the initial estimates to the final figures.

Description

  • Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
  • Assessing and managing risk
  • Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures
  • Handling contractual correspondence
  • Managing professional and trade staff and delegating responsibilities as necessary
  • Monitoring project progress and keeping in contact with construction managers
  • Ensuring material supplies are available on site
  • Providing financial progress reports to senior managers

Profile

A successful Planned Works QS should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies
  • Excellent mathematical and IT skills
  • Proficiency in risk assessment
  • Experience in preparing tender and contract documents
