Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Refurbishment
Location: Sites within North East London (Rainham Office Base)
Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 + Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 42 hours (Monday to Friday)
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in refurbishment? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a leading organization working on impactful projects across North East London.
This is a key role, supporting one of London's largest housing associations, managing a portfolio of around 26,000 properties. You'll be working on refurbishment projects, including cladding, extensions, and insulation, while collaborating closely with a Managing Quantity Surveyor to ensure successful delivery.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor with:
- 5+ years' experience in social housing refurbishment.
- Strong commercial management skills, including cost and value processes and supply chain engagement.
- A qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency with Excel and Word.
- A full UK driving license - this role will require travel within North East London.
What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Pricing works using the contract's schedule of rates.
- Managing early warnings, compensation events, and quotations.
- Administering contracts and overseeing subcontractor payments.
- Working with supply chain partners to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Representing the business in meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Identifying and managing financial risks effectively.
