Randstad are currently working with a Mechanical & Electrical specialist contractor that are looking to expand their commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor at the office in Central London.
The selected candidate will deal with M&E packages on projects spanning from Power , Transportation , Data centres & more. The client will consider candidates both from a Build & Civils background , so if you're a Surveyor with around 5 years of experience within an M&E/MEP Environment & you're based near London , this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Role Summary: You will have Complete Commercial responsibility for the project to which you are assigned , ability To ensure the project is executed in accordance with the project requirements and company standards. To ensure all persons comply with our clients and legislative requirements. To deliver the commercial aspects of the project continually and proficiently throughout its full project duration until Final Account agreement and Final Payment.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is a list of the main duties of the role
* Thorough and diligent administration of the contract, including observance of all deadlines and timescales set out therein
* Provide commercial insights and advice to PM and wider project team to ensure adherence to contract and to foster an environment of commercial awareness
* Carry out project validations/budgets with input from other team members
* Price submit and agree quotations for compensation events/variations in a timely manner
* Ensure positive cash flow on the project
* Effectively manage all sub-subcontracts
* Produce accurate internal financial reports in line with reporting deadlines e.g., CCS, Cost and Revenue Forecast, Accruals, ad hoc projections/updates requested by Managing Surveyor etc
* Assist with production of impact programmes and ensure they are submitted with each quotation
* Undertake Earned Value Analysis
* Meet with and maintain good professional relations with the client's QS
* Adhere to and promote processes and procedures
