Quantity Surveyor Vacancy

My client, a medium sized main contractor who have been successfully established for four decades, with a solid reputation in refurbishment and new build construction projects, are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor. 

Having won repeated business for numerous private and public sector clients throughout London and the South East, my client is currently keen to employ a skilled Quantity Surveyor to work within their busy and successful team from their Head office in the London Borough of Southwark.

The role will be to work within the Main Contracts Division supporting the management team.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Previous experience across a range of work streams including refurbishment and new builds contract.
  • Budgeting and estimating from first principles.
  • Proven ability to minimise cost, and to maximise value and cashflow.
  • A working knowledge of standard forms of contracts.
  • Supplier and subcontractor engagement
  • Cost reporting and final accounting.
  • Dynamic approach to working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Skills required include:

  • Qualifications in Quantity Surveying or similar function.
  • Excellent IT skills, preferably Excel, Word, PowerPoint and estimating/surveying software.
  • Holder of full clean drivers licence.
  • Proven experience in similar surveying/estimating role
