MMP Consultancy seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an interim contract with a North London-based National Contractor for Housing Asset Management / Maintenance. Day Rate Negotiable (Inside IR35)

The role is interim, taking over for a member of staff who is leaving, with a potential option of permanent.

Details:

Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Projects)
Salary: Negotiable (Inside IR35)
Location: North London
Contract: Interim - 6 months.

The works cover planned maintenance which encompasses such aspects as replacement
windows and doors, external/internal decorations, scaffolding, roofing, etc.

Work alongside the current quantity surveyor who is leaving to get a full handover.


Essential qualifications: RICS, CIOB or relevant degree, Asbestos Awareness UKATA or IATP


Key Duties:

* Cost control.
* Maximising revenue.
* Liaising with clients to identify their needs.
* Estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour.
* Preparing tender and contract documents.
* Identifying and weighing up commercial risks.
* Supply-chain procurement.
* Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions.
* Accurate monthly forecasting.
* Ability to challenge resources and costs.
* Maintaining deadlines in line with the monthly commercial calendar.
* Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place.
* Help ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
* Effectively assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial support staff.
