Quantity Surveyor - North London - Social Housing Planned Maintenance

 

Quantity Surveyor required for leading tier one contractor in North London to work with their existing commercial team delivering planned maintenance works on a long term contract for the largest housing association in the UK. This position can either be paid on a daily rate for the entire duration, or work on a temp-to-perm basis with a salary of c. £80k + benefits available on a permament contract. 

 

  • A Senior / Site Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience of planned maintenance works (would be preferable) – Covering such elements as; new windows, scaffolding, external decorations mechanical & electrical works, lifts, etc.
  • COINS IT system usage - knowledge of (useful, but not essential)
  • Strong team player
  • Can undertake valuations in conjunction with the client
  • Scrutinise and evaluate payments to subcontractors, including variations and instructions
  • Appreciates the importance of building/maintaining a good client relationship
  • Provision of quotes / tenders for client - evaluation and recommendation of information received
  • Understands the importance of good record keeping
  • Attend meetings and keep accurate records as required
  • Preparation of Project Management Reporting as required
  • Change Management - Preparation of Contract changes and the relevant variation orders
  • Cost Management - Managed project cost plan and prepared regular cost reporting as required
