We are delighted to be partnered with our professional, established and highly reputable nationwide fire detection and protection client as they seek to recruit a Quantity Surveyor (preferably with a fire protection / construction services company background), to join their experienced and friendly team. This role is available due to strong company growth levels and continued expansion and will be based in and around the London area.

Quantity Surveyor

Full time permanent role

Mon-Fri 35 hours per week. Mon-Thu 0900-1700 and Fri 0900-1600 with 45 minute lunch break.

Salary £50000-£60000 per annum, depending on experience plus excellent all round company benefits. Company car or car allowance, 23 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays - holiday entitlement increases with length of service. Private health cover.

The role - Quantity Surveyor

My client are the UK’s class-leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems.

They design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. They currently have over 200 employees and have offices throughout the UK

Duties will include:

Provide commercial assistance to the project teams

Tender stage terms and conditions review

Monthly progress valuations of projects

Timely and accurate variations submissions

Attention to site progress and any delay events

Mentor junior team members

Attending site visits and client meetings

Experience, competencies and knowledge required

Previous experience within fire protection sector or construction services industry is highly desirable

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Knowledge of construction management principles and practices

Full clean driving licence
