Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Structural Steel
Location: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
Salary: 65,000 to 80,000, depending on experience

We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team specialising in structural steel projects. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, providing the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, with 3 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication and construction projects.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the project lifecycle, from tendering through to completion.
  • Work with NEC (80%) and JCT (20%) contracts to ensure effective management of project costs, change control, and valuations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to monitor project progress and resolve any financial issues.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to monitor project progress and validate payments.
  • Ensure timely submission of cost reports and maintain financial tracking.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in structural steel fabrication and construction.
  • Proven experience with NEC contracts (80%) and JCT contracts (20%).
  • Strong experience in quantity surveying, including cost planning, procurement, and final account management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS or equivalent).
