We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor, working on behalf of Thames Water. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of water sector projects across the Thames Valley region, offering the opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure development in the area.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects within the water sector. You will ensure budgets are effectively controlled, contracts are administered accurately, and projects are delivered within financial targets. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work on meaningful and impactful water sector projects while collaborating with a dedicated and dynamic team.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:

  • Managing and forecasting costs across a portfolio of projects
  • Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with NEC contract terms
  • Collaborating with the project team and clients to ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Preparing and negotiating final accounts
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost control
  • Producing accurate financial reports and providing advice to project teams

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the water or civils sector
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with site and office teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects is preferred
