A renowned property consultancy with an ambitious and forward-thinking quantity surveying team are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor for their London office.

The Quantity Surveyor's Role

The incoming Quantity Surveyor will join the Major Projects and Cost Consultancy Department working on both new build and refurbishment projects typically ranging from 500k - 30m, but occasionally in excess of 100m.

You will benefit from an exciting variety of sectors such as Industrial, Life Sciences, Hospitality, Commercial, Office, Residential, Retail, Arts and Education ensuring no two days will be the same. You will be expected to work independently although supervision is readily available through the senior management team.

Main tasks:

  • Preparing cost plans and order of costs
  • Carrying out tender analysis and preparing tender reports;
  • Preparing interim valuations and financial reports;
  • Agreeing variations and final accounts
  • Providing support, guidance & supervision to junior members of staff
  • Preparing & coordinating tender packs & managing the tendering process
  • Attending site and design team meetings

The Quantity Surveyor

  • A successful track record of managing projects from inception to completion
  • Quantity Surveying experience within a UK consultancy
  • A RICS-accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Working towards MRICS or committed to achieving it
  • Strong pre- and post-contract experience
