AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable civil engineering contractor based in West London. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a balance of site and office work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control budgets for assigned projects.
  • Procurement: Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement processes, including tendering and negotiation.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee and manage contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Valuations: Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, providing recommendations to mitigate potential cost impacts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Reporting: Produce regular financial reports, cost forecasts, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Variation Management: Handle variations and change orders, ensuring accurate record-keeping and agreement with clients and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in Quantity Surveying, ideally within the civil engineering or groundworks sector.
  • Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, e.g., NEC, JCT.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes:
    • A detail-oriented, proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
