AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable civil engineering contractor based in West London. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a balance of site and office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control budgets for assigned projects.
- Procurement: Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement processes, including tendering and negotiation.
- Contract Administration: Oversee and manage contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Valuations: Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, providing recommendations to mitigate potential cost impacts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Reporting: Produce regular financial reports, cost forecasts, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Variation Management: Handle variations and change orders, ensuring accurate record-keeping and agreement with clients and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in Quantity Surveying, ideally within the civil engineering or groundworks sector.
- Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, e.g., NEC, JCT.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
