Role Overview:
They're seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in electrical projects. Your main responsibility will be to assess and optimise existing projects, particularly those that haven't received close attention from the current QS team. This role offers approximately £300 per day, with the potential for long-term collaboration for the right candidate. You'll primarily work on London-based projects, with occasional visits to the St Albans office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Evaluation: Review ongoing electrical projects to identify areas needing improved financial oversight.
- Cost Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and enhance project profitability.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the existing QS team to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on financial performance, cost savings, and recommendations for future projects.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the electrical contracting industry.
- Proven track record of implementing cost-saving measures in electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, contracts, and current regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Competitive daily rate of around £300.
