We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team on a 25M new build residential project in London. This exciting development will consist of 100 luxury apartments and is an RC Frame project, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage and deliver a major, high-profile construction project from inception to completion.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring costs are effectively controlled, and that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates and manage the project budget
  • Provide accurate valuations and cost reporting for the project team and stakeholders
  • Manage procurement processes and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Oversee contract administration and maintain detailed records of project costs
  • Monitor and assess cost variations and ensure that change orders are processed efficiently
  • Conduct site visits to assess work progress and ensure quality standards are met
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, including the project manager, architect, and site manager, to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Assist in resolving disputes and claims that may arise throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS qualification is desirable)
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on RC frame or residential new build projects (ideally 10M+ in value)
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
