Quantity Surveyor

This position specifically is for their Facades & Cladding Business Unit. With a turnover of 50-70 million annually, this fast-paced and rapidly growing business unit presents exciting opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the commercial team, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of our facades and cladding projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You will play a key role in managing costs, valuing work, and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial and commercial aspects of multiple facades and cladding projects.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.

• Measure and value work, including site visits and assessments.

• Administer contracts, including the preparation of variations, payments, and final accounts.

• Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to the Commercial Manager.

• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Identify and mitigate any financial or contractual risks.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification).

• Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to facades and cladding projects.

• Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management practices.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in using Quantity Surveying software and MS Office.
