About The Role:Key responsibilities of this role are to oversee the financial and commercial aspects of all projects, ensuring the correct commercial controls are in place to protect the business
Working hours: 8am - 5pm; Monday to Thursday & 8am - 2.30pm; Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid management - provide support for the commercial content off all business development/focus win activities
- Ensure OCS's position is not compromised in any offer made as part of a tender submission.
- Ensure OCS's contract documents and that flowing down to the supply chain are in line with our Tender submission and the correct alignment of scope, price and programme.
- Review and providing a report to enable sign-off of each project specific 'commercial plan', ensuring the Bid team have correctly interpretated and understood contract obligations.
- Capable of carrying out tender analysis of contractor's quotes.
- Submitting detailed and timely Applications for Payment
- Identifying, reviewing and detailing variations, the preparation and submission of detailed prices including supporting documentation for agreement,
- Preparation of all necessary supporting documentation in support of Final Account submission including negotiating the settlement of the Final Account,
- Analysing actual costs and future expenditure, highlighting any errors or inconsistencies monthly,
- Forecasting estimated value, cost and margin on a monthly basis, reconciling any movements in the month by exception, and reporting on any variances from the tender allowances,
- Pursuing Notices or Certificates for Payment, and the resultant payments that become due, including retentions,
- Reporting by exception of any matter or event that is likely to affect the forecast outturn of a project,
- Developing an understanding of the conditions of contract relating to any project and ensuring the Businesses rights are preserved and entitlement is safeguarded where practicable,
- Processing Subcontract Orders when necessary to meet programme requirements, valuing the work undertaken by Subcontractors and issuing the appropriate Notices and processing payments as necessary,
- Be aware of the agreed programme and be able to identify delays to the progress of the works and report this to Project Manager/Commercial Director for review
People Management
- Providing Guidance and Development to Assistant Quantity Surveyors
- Capable of working in a team environment supporting colleagues and providing advice on all commercial matters when necessary
- Understanding customer's requirements and always conducting business in a professional manner
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Good listening skills and capable of interpreting directions.
About You:

Mandatory
- Experience of administrating client Framework agreements
- Excellent PC skills, including advanced Excel
- Good analytical skills
- Communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Good report writing skills
- Experience in use of CAFM systems
Preferred
- Professional or Trade related vocational qualification.
