Your new companyJoin a dynamic and forward-thinking company that is a leader in its industry. The company is known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, providing a supportive and collaborative work environment. As a building envelope specialist contractor-based operating in London and the South East, they work as a specialist subcontractor for Tier 1 main contractors. They also act as a principal contractor in cladding remediation schemes. Their current turnover is around £15m per annum with a target of reaching £50m in the next 5 years.

Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor based in London, you will be responsible for cost control, BOQ, cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting on various new build and cladding remediation projects. You will work closely with a talented team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the company's ongoing success. The role is full-time in the office with site visits as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Some cladding experience
  • Ability and willingness to estimate/price projects
  • Proficiency in relevant software (MS Excel & MS Project)
  • In-depth knowledge of cladding systems, materials, and installation techniques
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Measurement of drawings using Cost X/Bluebeam Software
  • Ideally, an in-depth understanding of subcontracts (JCT Design & Build)
  • Previous experience working under a building envelope specialist subcontractor is desirable
  • Previous experience in an estimating role is desirable
  • Will consider an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or a recent graduate that is willing to learn and grow within the facade industry
