Are you a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with experience in Commercial Roofing and Waterproofing projects? Spencer & James, in partnership with a well-established family-run multidisciplinary Main Contractor, are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to contribute to large-scale waterproofing projects across London. If you’re passionate about delivering excellence, and collaborating on projects from concept through to completion, this opportunity offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact on high-profile projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Foster strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
Collaborate with the pre-construction team on all commercial matters.
Work closely with the Contracts Manager and Site Manager to address technical issues.
Coordinate with Procurement and Compliance to ensure subcontractors meet company assessment standards.
Review subcontractor accounts and prepare payment certificates in line with company terms and conditions.
Issue timely withholding or payment notices for relevant applications or invoices.
Prepare and issue valuations, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), in accordance with contract requirements.
Develop cash flow projections for the business unit, incorporating all projects.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for somebody with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who has previous experience working with Tier 1 Contractors, and experience working within Waterproofing as a Quantity Surveyor.

Requirements:

Degree in Quantity Surveying
CIOB / RICS
Previous experience Quantity Surveying for a Tier 1 Contractor
