Quantity Surveyor

Our client specialise in all aspects of natural stone design, procurement, and installation. While stone contracting is at the core of their business, they also offer consultancy services to clients and architects.

Due to company growth, our client is looking to bring a Quantity Surveyor in to join their team.

You will manage project budgets, prepare cost estimates, and oversee material procurement, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely delivery. You will also collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors while monitoring financial performance and mitigating risks throughout the project.

  • Salary - Up to 55,000 (depending on experience).

Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage project budgets, ensuring all aspects of the stonework contract are covered.
  • Assist with tender preparation, submit competitive bids, and manage contract administration, ensuring compliance with all terms.
  • Oversee material procurement, ensuring timely, cost-effective solutions while providing value engineering advice to clients and architects.
  • Monitor project costs, track financial performance, and report on variances, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate contracts, identify risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and execution throughout the project.

Quantity Surveyor

Position Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or stone industry, preferably with expertise in marble, granite, or stonework.
  • Strong IT/Software skills
  • Great communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK Drivers License.
