Job Description:
The Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our client's commercial projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of M&E systems, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract Duties:
- Preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Assisting with the preparation of tender documentation.
- Evaluating contractor and subcontractor bids.
- Negotiating and awarding contracts.

Post-Contract Duties:
- Monitoring project costs and financial reporting.
- Managing variations and change orders.
- Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Preparing and submitting interim valuations and final accounts.
- Resolving any financial disputes that may arise.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Leading a team of junior quantity surveyors and support staff.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Ensuring continuous professional development and training for the team.

Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Attending project meetings and providing financial insights and updates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in M&E quantity surveying, with a focus on commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and their financial implications.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office, CostX, or similar.
