Job Overview:As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in our projects, ensuring the effective management and control of costs associated with the design and build of mechanical and electrical systems. You will work closely with our project teams, providing expert advice on cost planning, procurement, and contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Management:

    • Manage and control project costs from inception to completion.
    • Conduct cost analysis and provide accurate estimates for M&E projects.
    • Monitor and report on budgetary performance.
  2. Procurement:

    • Lead procurement activities, including tendering and contract negotiation.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Ensure procurement activities align with project requirements and budget constraints.
  3. Contractual Management:

    • Administer contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Identify and manage contractual risks.
    • Provide contractual advice to project teams.
  4. Project Support:

    • Collaborate with project managers to develop cost-effective solutions.
    • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
    • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial reports.
  5. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on cost-related matters to project teams and management.
    • Resolve disputes and issues related to project costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the M&E sector.
  • Professional membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems and construction processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
