We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable contractor specializing in M&E works and communications. The majority of projects fall within the rail sector, involving station fit-outs and related works. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive M&E experience and a technical understanding of communications to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of a range of projects. This role offers hybrid working, with the office conveniently located in Kings Cross, allowing flexibility and collaboration with a talented team of professionals.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Managing project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with client and project requirements
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery
- Preparing and negotiating final accounts
- Providing technical advice related to M&E works and communications systems
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any financial or contractual issues
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the M&E sector
- Strong understanding of communications systems and station fit-out projects
- Experience in the rail sector is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to cost management and contract administration
