This well-established construction consultancy firm is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in London. You will be leading your team on major projects across the commercial sector, perfect for someone who is seeking a new challenge. Duties of the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Provide support to other Surveyors on team in delivering services of team projects.
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduate Surveyors.
  • Ensures projects and tasks are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Develop strong reciprocal relationships with consultants and members of the project team.
  • Be an interface with clients and design team members on specific projects.
  • Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs on allocated projects, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Provide full Cost Management duties to clients on allocated projects.
  • Participate in non-project related team activities and tasks; QA, office management, business development, H&S.

Requirements of the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Ideally 5 years + experience as a quantity surveyor.
  • Ideally have a degree in Quantity surveying.
  • MRICS qualified.
  • Good pre-contract as well as construction delivery experience is essential.
  • Preferably experience in a construction consultancy environment.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Proven track record at the appropriate level.
  • Commercial experience.
  • Knowledge of the JCT contracts.
