Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a track record of managing residential projects? Do you have expertise in building developments from start to finish? Are you ready to take on a new challenge with hybrid working opportunities and a competitive salary?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Construction Management Client as a Project Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will initially be working on a residential project involving a Grade II listed building, overseeing all aspects of the development and supported by an Assistant QS.

Role Overview

As a Project QS/Senior QS, you will take full ownership of this project, ensuring its successful delivery on time and within budget. This role offers hybrid working and requires a strong presence on-site to manage day-to-day operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial and contractual management projects, including this Grade II listed residential project
  • Oversee all project stages, from procurement to final handover.
  • Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and evaluation.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring value for money throughout the project.
  • Handle contract administration and variation management.
  • Liaise closely with the site team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Assistant QS.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of building construction and project lifecycles.
  • Experience working for a contractor or developer is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, including financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement processes and subcontractor evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor junior team members.
  • Hybrid working capability, with regular on-site presence required.
