Senior Quantity Surveyor - London Based - 80,000 to 100,000

Company: Employee-owned 100m turnover principle contractor based in Central London who get involved with Civil Engineering, Demolition, Piling, and Structures projects up to 150m. They self-deliver most of their works across both JCT and NEC contracts

Project: 60m scheme in Central London Zone 1 - demolition, piling, groundworks,enabling works, substructure, basement, concrete package for high profile clients.

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor needed to run the project cradle to grave reporting both upstream to clients as well as downstream to labour and subcontractors. You will have full commercial responsibility managing payments, overseeing target costs, and dealing with change management.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within projections.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and select subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Valuations and Variations: Conduct accurate valuations, prepare interim and final accounts, and manage variations effectively.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
  • Project Reporting: Produce regular cost and progress reports for clients and senior management.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts in line with legal requirements, ensuring compliance with terms.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and project success.
  • Site Visits: Attend project sites to assess progress and verify work completed aligns with financial claims.

The ideal candidate MUST have self delivery experience!
