Senior Quantity Surveyor
Pay - 380 - 420 per day
Start time - 7am
40hrs per week - Mon - Fri
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Variation cost management with key focus on correct preliminaries recovery; application in cost management construction processes;
- identification and costing of the contract other impacting mechanism based on the delivery of the proposed works (other contracts, service level specification) capturing in a cost associated activist that would be required.
- Cost recovery based on change of law in a line of contract mechanism.
- Delivery of the disputed items as per contract dispute resolution
- WIP and DEBT management of the project works.
- Correct Forecasting
- Work closely with the FM VINCI team, Supporting Business Unit, and VINCI Supply Chain to gather necessary data for precise claims formulation.
- Oversee claim submissions to clients and respond to related inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Influence project management decisions, advocate for proper construction methodologies, and ensure required documentation is in place for procurement and risk minimization.
Key Skills
- Cost Management & Quantity Surveying Expertise:
- Proven experience in cost estimation and project delivery in live environments, preferably within healthcare.
- Lifecycle Model Knowledge:
- Understanding of lifecycle cost models and the conditions of individual assets to support strategic project claims.
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to assess project data and validate cost accuracy, utilizing Excel and related tools.
- Healthcare Environment Acumen:
- Familiarity with NHS building specifications, infection control, and specialized healthcare materials; capable of sourcing required information for compliance.
- Construction Standards & Certifications:
- In-depth understanding of certifications and standards within healthcare facility construction.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Effective communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams to gather project information.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Excel for large workbooks; knowledge of COINS and CAFM systems is beneficial.
- Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in quantity surveying within a similar environment or transferrable sectors.
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field is desirable.
- Professional Accreditation: RICS membership or similar is desirable but not essential.
