Senior Quantity Surveyor
North-West London

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on the project based in Northwest London. You will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of a large construction project, including cost control, contract management, and financial reporting, seeing the project through to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the NEC3 contracts (Option A, B, C, etc.), including early warnings, compensation events, risk management, and change control.
  • Develop detailed cost plans and budgets. Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Prepare and agree on interim valuations and final accounts, including subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with NEC3 protocols.
  • Identify and manage risks, working closely with project teams to mitigate potential issues.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting, including cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), project forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, contributing to the professional development of the team.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previously experience in the Construction Industry as a subcontractor
  • Experience and understanding of NEC3 Contracts & Construction Law
  • Experience of commercial management including estimation and cost analysis
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Comfortable communicating at all levels
