Senior Quantity Surveyor for London based Developer for Student accommodation and Housing Association project in Central London
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
Your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor will be to work as the lead commercial on an upcoming project in Camden. The project is made up of Student accommodation and residential blocks with a complex facade and logistics due to the location of the project.
You will be working as the no 1 on site and responsible for the commercial success of the project from managing the procurement to final accounting. You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Issue sub-contract tender packages and undertake contractual evaluation of the tender.
- Managing the initial contract negotiation to ensure commercial success
- Manage established list of supply chain sub-contractors.
- Assess contract risk and work with the site team to develop and manage mitigation plans.
- Attend internal and external commercial review meetings.
Requirements:
The company are looking for a candidate with experience working on new build construction projects and who has knowledge commercially leading RC Frame residential projects. You will be responsible for packages from pre construction stages. The ideal candidate is someone who is a motivated and keen to join a business with excellent training and progression on offer.
- Degree in a construction related subject
- Strong commercial acumen
- Worked with another developer or main contractor on residential/student accommodation projects
- Happy to work FT site based in central London
