4Site are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team, overseeing cost control, managing contracts, and leading the commercial team on high-end residential projects up to £16m. This role offers the opportunity to guide a team and ensure the financial success of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer strategic direction to the commercial team, ensuring comprehensive support for site and project managers.
  • Lead project meetings, oversee tenders, and ensure contracts are managed efficiently.
  • Monitor project finances, including accurate forecasting, cost control, and cash flow analysis.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, ensuring all agreements align with schedules and project needs.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, promoting transparency and collaboration.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, from tender submissions to valuations and contract updates.
  • Guide and develop team members, fostering growth and maintaining a high-performing team culture.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts, construction processes, and cost management practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Procore, and Bluebeam, with excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to manage subcontractor relationships effectively, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience setting goals and driving team development.
  • A track record of managing financial performance, meeting margin goals, and maintaining cash flow.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • A collaborative and strategic mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
