Main Contractor - Social Housing

Full time position for a dynamic, experienced Senior QS to work across the Contracts Division predominantly on social housing programmes for a leading main contractor based in their SE London Head Office.
Opportunity to make a real difference in delivering commercial excellence in this key position for this award winning main contractor who have been established for more than 30 years.
Having successfully delivered a diverse range of contracts across sectors including social housing, education, culture, heritage, and community, my client is keen to recruit a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to their highly skilled commercial team.
The Role:
- Supporting the Commercial Lead in contract cost management
- Production of monthly updated CVRs for each project
- Weekly measurement and valuation validations
- Procurement and management of supply chains
- Maintaining the commercial risk register
- Cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives
- Contract reviews and cost analysis
Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional qualifications
- Proven relevant experience, with a high level of commercial awareness
- Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions
- Extensive experience in managing supply chain accounts and valuations
- Experience in risk management to support operational teams
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
This is a full time office based position (no hybrid working).
Ideal candidates will have a stable career history and be able to work permanently within the UK without sponsorship.
