Quantity Surveyor

Main Contractor - Social Housing

SE London

Full time position for a dynamic, experienced Senior QS to work across the Contracts Division predominantly on social housing programmes for a leading main contractor based in their SE London Head Office.

Opportunity to make a real difference in delivering commercial excellence in this key position for this award winning main contractor who have been established for more than 30 years.

Having successfully delivered a diverse range of contracts across sectors including social housing, education, culture, heritage, and community, my client is keen to recruit a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to their highly skilled commercial team.

The Role:

  • Supporting the Commercial Lead in contract cost management
  • Production of monthly updated CVRs for each project
  • Weekly measurement and valuation validations
  • Procurement and management of supply chains
  • Maintaining the commercial risk register
  • Cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives
  • Contract reviews and cost analysis

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional qualifications
  • Proven relevant experience, with a high level of commercial awareness
  • Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions
  • Extensive experience in managing supply chain accounts and valuations
  • Experience in risk management to support operational teams
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

This is a full time office based position (no hybrid working).
