Our client is currently looking to expand its team of radiographers and is welcoming applications from radiographers with MRI experience.

In partnership with the functional neurosurgery unit of the National Hospital, our client is also proud to be the only MR Guided Focused Ultrasound service in the UK independent healthcare sector, providing pioneering neurosurgical treatment for neurological tremor.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of MRI and CT examinations including advanced neuroimaging, with a focus on maintaining optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Taking an active role in the delivery of MR Guided Focused Ultrasound treatment alongside a specialist multi-disciplinary team and taking a lead role in delivery
  • Ensuring that all patient examinations are carried out efficiently and effectively
  • Provide expert clinical advice and support to patients and their families throughout the imaging process
  • Ensure that all relevant clinical documentation is completed accurately and promptly
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to provide a seamless and integrated service to our patients
  • Contribute to our successful clinical governance and quality improvement programme

About you:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and personable radiographer who is able to use their initiative to support the provision of high-quality imaging and personalised care.

Requirements:

You will be an HCPC registered diagnostic radiographer with at least 2 years recent full-time experience as an MRI radiographer. Whilst CT experience is not essential (training can be provided), you should be willing and enthusiastic to take an active part in the CT service alongside your MR role.

You will be willing to actively participate in the organisation's successful governance programme, contributing to the maintenance of their accreditation under the Quality Standard for Imaging, and supporting our compliance with CQC regulations. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with various professions to contribute to the multi-disciplinary team.

Our client’s radiographers work a 35-hour week (Monday to Friday) with a mixture of early and late duties to cover the 12-hour scanning day. (We are unable to consider applications from candidates interested in long day working). There is no on call commitment, although the company occasionally offers paid overtime for waiting list initiatives when required (these are on a voluntary basis).

Desirable:

  • Experience with GE imaging equipment
  • Experience with clinical audit
  • Experience with QA programmes
  • IV Cannulation Certificate
