Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail sector, is currently seeking skilled Rail Systems / Overhead Catenary Engineers to join their team on a contract basis, contributing to major HS2 projects in the UK. Responsibilities and Key Duties:
- Be a key contributor to a dynamic and innovative rail design team delivering world-class solutions
- Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams, and technical specifications
- Conduct quality control reviews and design checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Take the lead on major tasks, guiding project progress and ensuring deliverables are met
- Ensure all designs and activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and HS2 project requirements for OCS

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRail
- Full UK Driving Licence to facilitate site visits and client meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
- Experience in railway systems, specifically in Overhead Catenary Systems and Traction Power
- Demonstrable experience with UK-based rail clients or agencies such as Network Rail, HS2, or Transport for London (TfL)
- Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
