Your new role

To lead, plan, develop and deliver an expert professional Estates Management service. To support the development, management and delivery of Estates Management services. Manage staff responsible for service delivery / support within the service area. To ensure the Council maximises service outcomes in relation to cost. To lead the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and compliant estate management services, which deliver positive outcomes for the residents and the Council. To maximise revenue streams throughout the property portfolio, including through rent renewals and by developing revenue optimisation strategies. What you'll need to succeed

Significant experience in a similar-sized, complex public sector organisation managing an estate and commercial portfolio Proven track record of leadership and effective management in an estate management environment High level of commercial awareness Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the national policy context, regulatory guidelines and statutory compliance requirements relating to estate management within a large public sector organisation. Comprehensive knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and impacts, valuation principles, property and planning law and associated estate management principles generally. Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrable leadership abilities, including team management, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. What you'll get in return
