Your new companyHays are currently working with a well known charitable organisation, who are looking to recruit a Property Manager on a 6-Month FTC basis. You will be working specifically on their commercial portfolio to manage the performance of the assets and provide a high quality service. The portfolio is a mix of Commercial Freehold, Leasehold and Managed service sites across the UK and Internationally. Your new roleYou will report directly to the Director of Commercial Operations and will take the lead on short-term and long-term property strategies, establishing a clear decision-making process, including documentation and budget planning for proactive management and forecasting of property-related decisions and commitments.You will be vital in developing policies and reviewing timelines for property asset capabilities, distinguishing between corporate and training sites.Part of your role includes building strong relationships with key business users for each site, whilst negotiating with landlords, agents, and councils as and when needed.What you'll need to succeed

  • In-depth technical knowledge of building construction methods, materials, defects, and design.
  • Strong understanding of statutory regulations relevant to commercial premises.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, with the ability to apply legal requirements in the workplace.
  • MRICS Qualification is beneficial but not essential.
