We are looking to secure the services of a new Property Manager. Reporting into the Senior Property Manager, the Property Manager will oversee the operation and maintenance of multiple properties, in either the North or South region, ensuring they meet company standards. They manage customer relations, oversee maintenance, ensure compliance with regulations, while also supervising a property officer and coordinating with vendors (i.e. other third parties or Managing Agents). They also implement policies and procedures to enhance property value and customer satisfaction.
As a Property Manager, you’ll be accountable for;
- Property Operations: Oversee the efficient management and maintenance of shared ownership properties to ensure customer satisfaction and property value preservation
- Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring a high level of service
- Budget and Financial Management: Manage property budgets and financials, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial goals
Skills & experience required of the Property Manager role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field and/or relevant experience
- Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) qualifications can enhance job prospects and demonstrate expertise
- Several years of experience in property management, preferably at a regional level in shared ownership or similar settings
- Experience: Significant experience in property management, preferably at a regional level or within a shared ownership environment in the UK.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise and support property managers.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle and resolve complex issues promptly and effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple properties and tasks efficiently.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UK-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in property management software and basic understanding of building systems and maintenance processes.
