The role focuses on effectively managing rental income, supporting tenants in maintaining their rent payments, and working with various support services to prevent arrears.
Essential Requirements
- Experience of managing rent and service charge accounts
- Experience of using a database to track arrears and record interventions
- Rental Income Management: Oversee day-to-day rent collection and manage arrears recovery following organizational policies.
- Tenant Communication: Provide proactive communication regarding rent accounts through various channels.
- Support for Tenants: Offer firm, non-judgemental advice, helping residents understand available support and their responsibilities.
- Arrears Agreements: Work with residents to create sustainable arrears repayment plans and take corrective action when necessary.
- Legal Action: Escalate cases to legal proceedings as needed and represent Causeway in court when required.
- Collaborative Support: Partner with internal teams, local authorities, and external support organizations to help customers sustain their tenancies.
- Performance Review: Regularly assess and seek opportunities for improvement and training.
- Collaboration: Engage in team meetings, cover for team members as necessary, and communicate respectfully with all stakeholders.
